The TUCAN is a compact, lightweight RPAS specially developed by SCR for ISTAR missions.

The Tucan is a mini RPAS resulting from the innovation work developed by SCR. Of modular and compact structure made of composite materials (fibreglass, carbon and kevlar) it meets the most demanding design and quality requirements.

The Tucan, which is outstandingly versatile, can be thrown by hand or using a small elastomer thrower. The system is controlled from a ruggedized portable GCS. It lands on a skid built into the cargo hold. The system can carry gyro-stabilized loads, adapting to the real requirements of each mission. In case of emergency it can be retrieved by parachute.

The Tucan is especially suitable for missions such as:

• ISTAR: reconnaissance, target location, surveillance and intelligence.
• Infrastructure inspections.
• Photogrammetry, high-resolution photography, topography and monitoring.
• Environment, marine applications and precision agriculture.
