JET ENGINE TARGET DRONE
The SCRAB I is a jet engine target drone developed and manufactured by SCR, and prepared for all types of missions, including offshore.
The SCRAB I was the first of the SCRAB target drone range. It is powered by a single turbine, which gives it flying speed and ceiling capabilities that cannot be achieved with traditional internal combustion engines.
The small size of the SCRAB I target drone and its ease of use mean it can be easily deployed in any location. It can be transported with all its components in a medium sized vehicle and can be operational in under thirty minutes.
Moreover, its components are protected, which allows it to be embarked for offshore missions. In addition, the SCRAB I uses generic aviation fuel (Jet A-1, JP5, JP8), which simplifies the supply chain and increases safety in maritime operations.
The SCRAB I target drone has been designed for use in exercises with many weapon systems, including MISTRAL, STANDARD, ROLAND or ASPIDE missiles and 35-90 mm cannons. The system is also prepared for a wide variety of payloads that allows, for example, to increase its infra-red signal.
